Is the rain making you wish for summer? We can't wait either, especially now that we are in the midst of planning for SOUL Summer School 2010, taking place from June 14th to August 5th!
SOUL Summer School is an intensive 8-week introduction to community organizing and social change designed for young activists--especially women, people of color, working class, and queer people--who have been involved with social justice organizing. Participants will develop their political analysis and gain skills in organizing through SOUL trainings, as well as an internship with an organization engaged in the communities and struggles here in the Bay Area.
Also, for those who need it, SOUL will help interns find suitable housing for the summer, and there is a living stipend provided of up to $2000 (based on financial need).
The application is available online and is due April 1st.
Please email summer@schoolofunityandliberation.org or call 510. 451. 5466 ext. 312 if you have any questions.
In peace and struggle,
In peace and struggle,
SOUL
